Scouts meet Wednesday evening at the Yellowbird Hall. Scouts is a Youth-Led Coed program administered by volunteers who inspire adventures and experiences that create lasting experiences and life skills. Programs are available for youths ages 5 to 17, which provide informal education that emphasizes leadership and practical outdoor activities. Activities are progressive and are based on age and experience. With every new member, with every camp and every community service project, Scouts Canada makes one simple promise to Canadian youth, parents and society: “Scouts have fun adventures discovering new things and experiences they wouldn’t discover elsewhere. Along the way, they develop into capable, confident and well-rounded individuals, better prepared for success in the world. Scouts is the start of something great. It starts with Scouts.”

GIRL GUIDES
Girl Guides meet Tuesdays at the Yellowbird Hall. Our community has two Girl Guide units, the 153rd Sparks (Ages 5-6) and the 153rd Girl Guides (Ages 9-10.) Sparks and Guides are year-long programs, running from September to May, although it is possible to join at any time throughout the year. The registration fee is reduced when joining after January.
