Currently, Yellowbird Community League hosts 5 major events per year to bring our community together and create fun, memorable experiences for our residents.
Throughout the year, Yellowbird CL also hosts awareness presentations, practical life improvement sessions as well as hobby and skills workshops. Check back for upcoming Presentations and Workshops, as well as past presentations & workshops.
FAMILY DAY
This popular winter event includes skating, chili, hot chocolate and horse-drawn sleigh rides.
NEIGHBOURHOODS IN BLOOM
Are you admiring your neighbour’s garden? Our Neighbourhood in Bloom has officially launched in Yellowbird Community! With community member input, we are recognizing residents that foster community pride and make our neighbourhoods beautiful.
COMMUNITY WIDE GARAGE SALE
Do you complete your spring cleaning and plan a garage sale for the summer months? Annually, Yellowbird Community invites you to host your own garage sale at your home in sync with many other community members hosting garage sales the same day.
MAKE-and-TAKE a HERB POT
Join us at the garden gazebo on a pre-selected Saturday in June. Plant a plot of herb seedlings to take home with you! This is free, family friendly event. Chat with some avid members from our Yellowbird Community Garden Group We will see you there.
BIKE FEST
Spring 2025 was the first ever Bike Fest at Yellowbird Community League. Specially trained volunteer bicycle mechanics completed 90 (seventy) FREE bike tune-ups.
PUMPKIN PATCH HALLOWEEN PARTY
This event is geared towards kids and families who want to enjoy some spooky fun, candy, prizes and pizzas indoors.
COMMUNITY LEAGUE DAY
Community League Day is an annual city-wide celebration, spanning across community leagues in Edmonton.
NATIONAL INDIGENOUS PEOPLES DAY
Under the guidance of Indigenous members of our community, we gather to honor the land we all share and the proud traditions of the Indigenous Peoples of Canada.

Yellowbird Community League is home to an active biking community, which may surprise you for a neighbourhood outside of the city core.
